I've never seen Hijack but Idris is id excellent in Luther. If you haven't seen it I'd highly recommend it. It's also free on Tubi which is perfect for the Cheapskate 😉
Thanks for the heads up about Connections! Gave it a look and might be addicted already. Wanted to second The Wire recommendation. Appreciate the heads up about the Albert Brooks movie as I am definitely planning on watching it. I own Defending Your Life and re-watch it somewhat regularly.
OK, maybe I'll try again with The Wire. I know many people consider it one of the all-time greats. I just recall the first few episodes being kind of slow and grim... unlike The Shield, which is super-fast-paced and grim, lol
Game Pass should absolutely be your first purchase, even if only to check out the list of games. That will net you Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, the new Forza (just called Forza Motorsport), and the Dead Space remake, all of which look amazing in 4K. Other non-Game-Pass games that take advantage the console’s power include Cyberpunk 2077, Mortal Kombat 1, Elden Ring…the list goes on.

Rick, after you finish the The Shield, rewatch (or watch for the first time?!? / say it ain't so!) The Wire, to see Idris really shine!

The scene you mentioned in Brooks doc was very disturbing and came out of nowhere. A heads up would've been nice. Don't know what they were thinking.
