These are awfully cheap protection against insanely expensive water-damage repairs. Mine caught a kitchen-sink leak I'd probably have missed otherwise.
Highly recommend the water leak detectors. We cleaned the little hose on our washing machine, then didn't get the cap back on tight. Later came down the hall to water everywhere, and it had started to warp our baseboards. Now I have one by my washer, hot water tank, sinks, etc. I went cheap for the non-wifi versions, but the smart option would be great.
Also I've talked to folks with those neck fans, and they say they do feel good and are helpful.
I checked. My WiFi is not leaking.

funny thing i thought the same.... i have learned of MEMORY leaks associated with java programming, so thought maybe wiFi had something similar.

The newer version of the leak detector with four sensors had a 20% rebate on the product page. Final cost for me would be $51.19+tax.

a truly 'wise guy' will learn to shut the house water off whenever leaving for more than a day. one hears too many horror stories about water damage.
