I also see that bogus "Practically Free" clickbait "articles" from many online tech sites regarding laptops and other electronics on my google feed based on my previous reading preferences; I too avoid them now.
Rick: thanks for the wonderful words re our need to live our lives without being told who to hate or who to like.
Also, I have purchased some no name headphones on Amazon, Newegg, and other sites and they sound great for the $13 to $20 price limits I insist on for such no-namers. Some last longer than others on a charge but I highly doubt any headphone will last what is shown on that model you featured for 100 hours. C'mon, the battery would need to be huge.
I also test them at a huge pool deck in the summer for Bluetooth range. Some no-namers give me signal from my phone left on the lounge chair in my bag to over 150 feet distant on the other edge of the pool deck where 2 "Name Brand" costly brands I got fade away. One rhymes with HOSE and one rhymes with BOKZ (bone conduction type) which cost me real $ but get shamed in Bluetooth range by no-namers.
I feel you Rick. Feels like it's in every direction too. I try my best to take stock in the best things around me: my adorable 1-yr old, my upcoming cruise w/ the esposa, and finding good deals every day. Happy hour counts as a good deal, right?!
Maybe a good time to remind people of camelcamelcamel the website and browser extension that tracks amazon prices.
Black Box of Doom sounds like a great book, and kudos for supporting Bookshop.
Happy Fourth!
Came here to say this - best way to check against Amazon's *actual* prices, hands down.
I saw that 'free' laptop headline and regretted the click instantly. Good on you for calling it out.

Happy Independence Day everyone!
Greenfield Village does do the holiday up very well.
Good work, detective. ;)

Happy 4th of July
do us more 'intellectual types' just sit around and wait until the movie comes out rather than reading the book? 😂🤣
Sorry it doesn’t have any pictures in it 😜
so its not a coloring book??
Stick to the deals. Lot of people are tired of hearing about how bad things are when they are really not!
