I'd like to know what prepaid service sells already unlocked phones with the service, or unlocks them at most after a couple months. Preferably phones that I could later enroll with a TextNow (or other free service) SIM. Total Wireless is holding me hostage for 12 months to get unlocked for free, or pay $114 now to unlock it. Not sure but I think there's some apps that can unlock phones? - there's a Facebook group for some app that sounds like that but I don't know much about it, and peeps there aren't answering.. I wonder if anyone in mall booths or some phone stores typically has ability/charges small fee, to unlock any phone? Or maybe a safe place to buy an cheapish unlocked phone without service - problem is I think textnow makes you enter a IMEI to see if compatible - which you can't do as far as I know unless you have the phone in your hand..
