Hope you didn't have to leave hiking poles behind, which of course was your only option. The only thing cheapskates hate more than paying full price is having to replace something you already had.
While the 4 in 1 cables you mention may not work, I have purchased several of these Anker 3 in 1 cables that have multiple tips. They have definitely come in handy on trips. Anker Powerline II 3-in-1 Cable, Lightning/Type C/Micro USB Cable for iPhone, iPad, Huawei, HTC, LG, Samsung Galaxy, Sony Xperia, Android Smartphones, iPad Pro 2018 and More(3ft, Black) https://a.co/3tZkhbo
Colorado mountains. A very nice place in the fall, as you found out. Keystone is one of the best! You should also try Breckenridge.
Walking poles. Imagine the same situation during ski season. Everyone with ski poles in TSA, on the train, everywhere. Ski poles being dropped every 30 seconds. People tripping over them. Angry passengers finding new uses for them. Now you can understand the aversion to walking poles.

Thankfully, we were given the option of checking the bag, which we did. And because it was Southwest, there was no extra fee to do so.
Nice!
Oh no, just bought 2 cables like that. Going for Brett's reco below now.

Good call... something like that would help, because instead of dividing up the power among four tips, you still just basically have a single cord.
