Walmart is dropping some insane TV deals, starting Monday, Nov. 11
An OLED for under $800, a 75-inch Roku for $378, and more! PLUS: A totally free, no-strings-attached Phone Loop from me to you

Not gonna lie, it’s been a rough week. Forgive me if this issue of Deal Secrets lacks my usual joie de vivre. Not feeling it right now. Quite the opposite, in fact.
TV helps take my mind off things, and I make no apologies for wanting (or having) the biggest screen I can squeeze into the living room.
If you feel the same, good news: some amazing TV deals are happening already — or will be come Monday, Nov. 11. That’s when Walmart kicks off its (very) early Black Friday sale, with Walmart+ members getting access at 12 p.m. (ET) and everyone else able to jump in at 5 p.m.
For example: The 75-inch TCL 75S41BR 4K Roku TV will drop to just $378, down from $498. This model is new for 2024 and pretty incredible at that price.
You can also scoop up the Hisense R6 50-inch Roku TV for $138. It’s another budget-tier TV, but at that size I don’t think you need a ton of bells and whistles. (I’d originally been planning to spotlight the Roku Select 43-inch 4K TV for $169.99, an all-time low — and available right now at Amazon — but obviously the Hisense is the better buy.)
Finally, if you’ve been eyeballing an OLED model but cringing at the cost, LG’s B3 Series 55-inch will drop to $798 — a $400 discount. Having just started testing some OLED TVs for the first time, I can definitely see what all the fuss is about: Colors absolutely pop off the screen, while black areas look decidedly, well, black. Non-OLEDs are still great, but when you put them side-by-side? No contest.
There’s a good chance these and other price-slashed TVs will sell out quickly, so if you see something you want, grab it.
QUICK HITS
The more electronics we buy, the more surge-protected outlets we need to plug them into. The new-for-2024 Trond 5-outlet, 15-foot surge protector drops to a very reasonable $17.39 when you redeem the on-page promo code (or apply it at checkout: VVXQZDJM). In addition to its five wide-spaced AC outlets, it has three USB ports and my favorite feature of all: a flat plug.
No, I will not shut up about these tire inflators; I use mine all the time and they’re just ridiculously practical. And here is literally one of the best deals I’ve seen: Amazon Prime subscribers can get the Nuste Portable Air Compressor for just $20 with promo code C8BFI7O4. (You can still use the code if you don’t have Prime, but then your price is $34.20 — not as great.)
It can inflate balls and other stuff, too, and this one doubles as a flashlight and triples as a 20,000-mAh (!) mobile power bank. Great, great gift for yourself or someone else.
Get a free Phone Loop — for Deal Secrets subscribers only
As Thanksgiving Day approaches, I want to give thanks to all of you. Not just lip service, either: For a limited time, and while supplies last, any Deal Secrets reader who wants one can get a free Phone Loop. (Only requirements: You must be a newsletter subscriber and live in the U.S.)
What’s a Phone Loop? Anyone who’s followed me from CNET days will remember these as Ninja Loops, which for a long time were my single favorite phone accessory.
It’s basically a narrow strap that runs the length of your phone case, enabling you to quickly and easily slip a few fingers in for a more comfortable, more secure grip. It’s compatible with just about every phone, though take note it might get in the way of wireless charging.
These are emblazoned with the name of my now-defunct escape game business. I have hundreds to give out — and I’m probably going to regret this once I discover the cost for postage.
Anyway, I’m setting a cutoff date of Nov. 22 to submit your name and address. I’ll keep that information completely private; it’ll be used for this giveaway and nothing else.
