🦃 Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it! I’m eternally thankful for all of you, especially those who’ve taken the time to share kind words and support. It means a lot!
🥒 I’ll try not to overdo it with this, but one more plug for my new book, Everything I Need to Know, I Learned Playing Pickleball. I’m humbled and gratified by the reaction so far, and if you’re kind enough to buy a copy for yourself or a friend, I’d be nearly as grateful for an Amazon review.
📨 For those of you wondering about the Phone Loop giveaway from a couple weeks ago, I’m stuffing envelopes as we speak. Nearly 400 people responded; I have enough Loops for the first 300. Sorry I couldn’t accommodate everyone! Anyway, watch your mailbox for a fairly non-descript white envelope.
3 spectacular Black Friday streaming deals for watching TV on the cheap
STREAMING DEAL #1: New and returning subscribers can get Hulu (with ads) for just 99 cents per month for 1 year — a legitimately awesome deal. You also have the option of bundling that with Disney+ for $2.99/month, again for the first 12 months. I spend more time on Hulu than anywhere else; it’s home to Bob’s Burgers, What We Do in the Shadows, Shark Tank, a new Jim Gaffigan stand-up special, and other favorites.
STREAMING DEAL #2: You can subscribe to NBC’s Peacock Premium service for just $19.99 for an entire year (or, if you’re afraid of commitment, $1.99/month for six months). It’s home to shows like Yellowstone and The Office, plus movies like The Fall Guy. And I’m excited to check out the new Day of the Jackal. My only regret is that I can’t get back the two hours I wasted watching Twisters.
STREAMING DEAL #3: Got an old TV or streamer you’re looking to upgrade? Normally I steer people to Roku, but let me make the case for the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max, currently on sale for an all-time-low $32.99 (reg. $60). It has super-fast Wi-Fi, unrivaled parental controls, Dolby Atmos and Vision support, and something really special for gamers: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate compatibility. Yep: console gaming without the console!

Such a quick easy read, with a touch of humor, the right sized graphics and best of all - great deals! Also, plug your book as much as you want. You're providing a free service to us. We support you Rick!
I go the hulu/disney bundle. It took a logout and re-login on Hulu to re-activate. Thanks Rick - I had cancelled Disney/Hulu/Espn bundle last month after they raised the monthly rate so this gets most of that back (except now +commercials on Disney) for much cheaper.
